After years of cornering people at parties to get to the bottom of their love lives, Host/Creator/Producer Therese Barbato decided to take those intimate conversations into a public forum via that’s what she said podcasts. Therese is curious not only about who we love, but how we came by our personal roadmap for love — our early notions and heartbreaks, our expectations and discoveries. Her probing questions have a way of revealing larger truths about what exactly we are all looking for in our quest for that most intangible and most universal human desire. Her podcasts seek to answer the question: what is the shape of love in each of our lives?

season 6: love(d)

C.S. Lewis wrote: "Bereavement is not the truncation of married love, but one of its regular phases — like our honeymoon. What we want is to live our marriage well and faithfully through that phase too." Our 6th season love(d) is a series of conversations that explore that phase. This spinoff of twss features intimate conversations with people who have loved deeply and lost their partners. We dive into their love stories, talk about their loss and investigate what that relationship is like now.

season 5: wild love

Our spinoff 5th season wild love features interviews with women who have experienced the intersection of love and extraordinary circumstances. Some of these remarkable life events include incarceration, uncovering a partner’s dark secret, leaving the Jehovah’s Witnesses, extreme political opposition, terminal illness, bipolar depression, kidney donation and a series of other wild love stories.
